Thank You

Dear West Virginia Colleagues:

While I just returned home, I felt compelled to log in and express my appreciation for a wonderful and productive week. I will be in touch with updates soon.

I look forward to receiving the graduate exploratory essays, which I hope will turn into more formalized scholarship at a later date. To the rest of you, continue writing about your teaching philosophy and practice. Borrow Mary's mentor's simple and wonderful way to chronicle your teaching success. I plan to use the folder I created yesterday to house these documents.

I wish you all the best as you head back into the classroom later this month.

Sherry

Hi Sherry,
Just wanted to try replying to this message. This is my first-ever attempt at a blog!!! I am quite excited, although at my age that isn't saying much! ( and it doesn't take much either!!)
Glad you made it home safely. I, too, would like to thank you and all of my colleagues who attended the seminar. You all gave me a lot of good ideas and reflections. HOpe you all enjoy the rest of your summer. Special thanks to Marcia for introducing me to this website to try with my students this fall. Frannie

Hi Frannie:

When teachers try new things and find them rewarding everyone benefits. I'm so tickled that blogging appeals to you.

Like you, I want to thank Marcia for teaching all of us the blogging basics.

After we've been doing it a while, let's check back in with each other and compare notes about student perceptions. Do they see bloggig assignments as an olive branch from the teacher? Do they see this digital public forum as more than fun?

All the Best,

Sherry
